So Wizards of the coast have released a 3D Magic: The Gathering Game. I checked out (briefly) the Duels of the Planeswalkers demo on XBL this evening and was actually rather impressed. Its basically a 3D version of the actual Magic card game. The advantage is obviously you don’t have to go out and buy a set deck and it also look like it has a Multiplayer built in so you can play again a friend.
For those of you not familiar with Magic: The Gathering, its a trading card game in which you play the role of a planeswalker – a very powerful Mage capable of moving though the various dimensions of the Multiverse (Magical Universe). There are 5 main colours of Magic and the trading card games allow you to either specialise or diversify (I’m not sure about the 360 game yet though).
It does have a full campaign mode and it does look rather good. There is a very intense tutorial session as well which quickly but simply runs through the basics of the game.
So what’s in it for Magic veterans? Well, for someone like me who has been playing Magic for a while but is still unfamiliar with the more intricate rules of the games, there is a lot to learn. There is also some excellent artwork and some great cards.
Duels of the Planeswalkers costs 800 of those elusive XBox live points, and is available for download now!

´Yes, lots of capital letters to show off how important this really is! Part of me was even considering deleting the test posts but they do a good job of padding out the overall site.
Been tweaking the CSS a little bit and was having a problem with some of the PNG images on the site, so if you see anything that doesn’t look like it should be there (ie left hand corners) please let me know.
I’m debating whether to open the site to registrations…Like I can see the point in having registered users when it comes to comments and stuff but I also know a lot of people just cannot be bothered at all. The upshot of this is I might get people who want to blog as well…meaning we might have more updates and more traffic…
Anyway – Down to the Meat and Potatoes of it. We have been away for a while – there was some debate about way the site was going to go. At the end of it we decided that we really didn’t have time to try and maintain a full games, movies and tech site with out student lifestyles becoming increasingly busy (with actual work!!) so were gonna stick with the blog type layout for a while. No doubt there will still be plenty of games, movies, science and tech news mixed in with some comic books and whatever else we find interesting.
So enjoy the new Super-Zero website and keep a close eye because I have a feeling there might be some awesome changes on the way soon
I leave you with something I am rather excited about…
